⭐️Worth The Hurt Book Review ⭐️
When a person picks up a book, there are many things that happen when it’s being read. When I picked up Worth The Hurt by Ashley Dranguet, a barrage of emotions flooded through me.
This is one of view books that I could truly resonate with. Worth and feeling worthy plays heavily in the pages that shares the stories of Macy and Paxton; both separate and as a newly formulated couple. I could literally feel myself in the shoes of both main characters.
Macy Callahan reveals needs that every young woman has; the need to feel attractive, the need to feel love and the need to feel truly wanted and accepted, flaws and all.
Paxton Meyers has those similar needs. Although he’s successful in his quest to be a lawyer, he too deals with emotional baggage that marred his happiness. So when he and Macy both come together, I instantly saw how connected they would become, and I was rooting for them from the very start.
I loved the supporting characters of Lauren, Macy’s younger sister and Paxton’s siblings Payton and Preston, and Mrs. Paige. I love how Ashley weaved them into Paxton and Macy’s blossoming relationship.
If sensitive subject matter and triggers don’t affect you, Worth The Hurt is worth the read. While it does have a heavy dose of spice, the plot and well written story does not get lost at all.
