BOOK REVIEW

.

I have never laughed so hard reading a murder mystery until I was selected to read, The Body in the Backyard by Lucy Score.

The phrase “Somebody, get Griffin,” kept coming out of my mouth. I mean, he is by far the most purposely clueless, conceited man in this story, and the fact that Riley and Nick, backed with a bunch of eccentric old people, have to help keep him safe adds to the hilarity.

I love how broody and sarcastic Nick was. His beef with Weber kept me chuckling, yet, I go awww whenever he is with Riley. His love with his whole heart. Their banter is cute and when Riley can literally hear what Nick is thinking…perfection.

Mrs. Penny was a hoot! Every single character who practically moved into Riley’s home were little scene stealers without taking away from the key storyline. Lucy Score makes reading mystery/paranormal romance so much fun.
