BOOK REVIEW

.

OMG! When I read the teaser about Charlotte Wells,s brother, Leo in Cali Melle’s 4th installment of the Orchid City series, Dirty Pucking Play, I knew that whatever Cali was writing was going to be worth the wait; and as always, she did not disappoint!

Tell Me How you Hate Me is next level goodness and I am so glad that she stepped outside of the box, flipped the script in keeping her characters not only on the ice, but as figure skaters in a whole new city. Leo and Aria are my new favorite couple for so many reasons.

Aria may seem cool as ice but there are so many layers to her that, over time, breaks down to see how vulnerable she is. Readers who are their own harshest critic will connect with her. I connected with her. It’s one of the reasons why I had a soft spot for her so quickly. No matter her support system that comes from her best friend, Brynn and Ari’s brother, Austin (Cali, I know exactly what you were doing regarding these two), she still can’t shake not being 100% at all times.

Cinnamon roll alert! That’s Leo Wells. No matter how broody and cold he may come off, this man’s heart melts for Aria, no matter how hard he tries to deny it. I love a man who knows how to take care of a woman, and you will love Leo from start to end. The man stole my heart!

I wanted to see more of Austin and Brynn. There was a scene in the book that made me do into detective mode, therefore, I hope Cali at some point down the line revisit these two.

5 stars on writing a sports romance that gives us sports. I love that skating flowed seamlessly along with their spice. The spice was spicing and I needed a cool down afterward. Cali knows how to bring the fire.

5 stars to Cali elevating in her stories. Each book she puts out rises to top and Tell Me How You Hate Me has become my fave from her. Thank you so much for choosing me to get a sneak peek read. I loved it!
