Taming the Player

I absolutely loved Taming the Player, by Hannah Cowan, the 2nd book in the Amateurs in Love series.

I love a well written redemption story; and that’s what it was: the redemption of Braden Lowry.  That was a man who put in the work to win the girl he let get away back!

Sierra grew from the 1st book, Craving the Player, and although she still had a hard time accepting compliments about herself or the belief that she was worthy, she soon started to believe and trust that it was true , thanks to Braden.

I loved the family dynamic in this book.  I loved how Tyler and Gracie instantly enveloped their arms around Sierra as part of their world, and it was so much sweeter to see Oakley and Ava joining in.  Even if she didn’t have a parent’s love, Sierra was surrounded by people who truly cared for her.

I know I was not the only one who cackled when it was time for that sleaze bucket, Cole Travis to pay the piper for his treatment of Sierra.  I cheered so loud and grinned from ear to ear reading him getting his!

I love a good lead up to the next book, and the appearance of Adam White was the perfect set up by Hannah to lead off back to the Swift Hat-Trick series.

Hannah seriously won me over.  I’ll buy books from her going forward; that’s how good she is.
