BOOK REVIEW

.

This spring has been the year of sports romance and I fell in love with Over The Limit by K. Bromberg.

I love that we are getting to see more body positivity characters in romance, and I absolutely adored Blair Carmichael. I could relate to Blair in terms of wanting to be accepted and loved no matter what shape I am, and Miss Bromberg written this character with such understanding.

Lachlan Evans is a green flag if ever there was one. Not giving away too much, he’s a man who truly takes Blair’s feelings into consideration. When she talks to him, whether good or things that stressed her, she fully has his attention, something that she wasn’t getting from the guy who supposedly loved her.

I absolutely hated Oliver Rossi. He was complete trash. There’s a line in this book he says that summed my feelings about him. What he lacked in terms of sincere emotions, Lachlan had it all. It was refreshing to see Blair opening her eyes to what was right for her and what was not.

I enjoyed the family dynamic in Over the Limit. Blair and Lachlan both had a great support system with their families. I loved that Blair had her parents and sister, who were constantly encouragers and Lachlan had his father, who, although pushed him in his racing career, wasn’t the parent that took advantage of his son’s success.

When it comes to the spice content, there was no disappointment to be had. The primary story didn’t get lost or buried with the spicy scenes.

This was a great F1 book, and I was glad that K. Bromberg had racing throughout the book.
