MINI BOOK REVIEW

The 1st book in the Orchard City series, Meet Me In The Penalty Box by Cali Melle gave me all the feels.

This was such a fun and spicy story to get into.  Nico Cirone thought all he was getting was a little fun with the pretty random blonde in a storage closet, but he wasn’t expecting to find himself falling in love with her in the process.

Harper Jensen, wanting to forget the douche of an ex-boyfriend who hurt her, had no qualms about locking lips with the random stranger; until she’s face-to-face with him on her job… and on HIS turf.

I love forbidden romances and I love that it’s a hockey romance.  Cali Melle flows with creating the tension between Nico and Harper.  I truly enjoyed reading a story where there wasn’t miscommunication that led to a breakup just to win the girl back.

I enjoyed the introduction of Nico’s sister, Giana and banter between Wes and Nico added to the story.
