BOOK REVIEW
.

I absolutely love an Italian themed romance, especially when there is action (besides spicy action) that goes down between the characters vying for power.
The entire Vitale men are so captivating and each have their own personality. I love Agustus, when Leia describes him being off the Fashion Week, I just picture him dressed in the newest fashion before it hits the market. I also love Adriano, who sticks pretty close to his twin (Agustus). These brothers love hard and fight hard.
Ambrose, who is the older brother is living in his father’s shoes and as I read Frayed Bonds, it is clear he does not want to be described as being just like his father. Being the oldest who was taught the family business by the time he was sixteen, he has the weight of the world o his shoulders.
When Valerie comes in to the fray, Ambrose finds it hard to fight his attraction. He’s known her since she was a young girl who was best friends with his brother Antonio. It becomes even harder when Valerie, needing a job to help with her father’s medical bills, is hired as Ambrose’s assistant.
One of the reasons why I like this story is because Leia sets it up like a game of chess; there’s so many pieces to be played. Valerie moves to get away from her verbally abusive past, but in one swift move, she’s on guard. Ambrose tries to clean up his image, but finds himself trying to fight to keep the company his father built from crumbling.
I thought that the tit for tat between Ambrose and Valerie was cute. Through all of the snappy comments and barbs, Valerie is very attracted to him. And it is good to see Ambrose’s wall begin to crack. He’s happier when they are together.
I loved the brothers bond. They love each other with such fierceness, but they also can ride each others nerves and my girl Val is smack in the middle.
I do hope there is more of the Vitale family. I enjoyed reading. Wonderful job Leia.
