If there was ever a slow burn romance book to fall in love with, it’s Hannah Cowan’s Strung Along, the 1st book in the Cherry Peak series.
The main characters, Brody and Annalise are so wonderfully written. I enjoyed that Hannah written Brody and Anna as a quick enemies to lovers; carefully playing out their attraction as the story unfolds. When Anna mistakenly texts the wrong person regarding her wedding outfit, you just know that things were going to be fun for her.
I felt so many things for Brody. I personally didn’t find him to be overly brooding, but simply a man who wants the best for himself, yet doesn’t want to disappoint/hurt the family he loves. The tense relationship he has with his grandfather spoke volumes. A part of me sensed that his grandpa was in some ways trying to fill a void from the son-like figure to grandson.

I await the stories of Poppy and Bryce. These ladies came at a time when Anna needed them the most. Their welcoming her immediately to Cherry Peak and seeing how Anna fit right in, sets up for more reading enjoyment for upcoming books.
Although the romance in their love story came midway in the book, I didn’t mind it at all. I loved that the two of them slowly gravitated to one another, and I was happy there was no rush to reveal their attraction to one another.
Hannah gave us so much swoon worthy material and I hope to see much more of what she has to offer in her next installments.
