The Sister Between Us by Hailey Dickert hands down gets 5 Stars⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This book was packed with everything. Childhood friendship that had a buried crush that literally unearthed during the final year of high school; a family rocked by family disappointment and two best friends who unwittingly find themselves drifting apart by the boy they both love on different levels.

My heart loved each of these characters. I loved that Jake was doing his best to keep his family together, especially when deveststing news is placed on his shoulders. He was written as an all around golden retriever; loyal to his family, but slowly becoming loyal to Leah, who, like he, is finding herself wanting more than the best friend and more of a boyfriend just as he sees himself wanting her to be his one and only. The way Hailey used past history of Jake and Leah's childhood together and the history of the 3 Amigos (Chloe, Jake and Leah) weaved not just a love story between Jake and Leah but one that was also involving their love for Chloe, Jake's sister and Leah's ride or die bestie.

Hailey weaved a breathtaking story of first love and how in an instant can all turn in its head. This story had me laughing, awwing and crying. The supporting characters and how they added to both Jake and Leah's story helped give an understanding of each of them.

The eight year time jump was perfect and I was happy to see baby sister Sophia pulled into this portion of the book.

I can't wait to read Sophia's story in Return Policy. If it's as good as this, this too will get 5 stars!
