I am so ready for The Graham Effect!

I absolutely loved reading, The Deal by Elle Kennedy. Hannah & Garrett… I’m at a loss of words. Their story was beautiful.

In the very first chapter, Elle locks you in on the character of Hannah Wells; she wants you to know who she is and what she went through. It gradually builds and builds throughout the story as one continues to read; and when I read what she went through, my heart went out to her💕

Garrett isn’t some typical BMOC dumb jock. He’s smart but knows how to use that mouth to make Hannah blush. His story about his life is so relatable. Elle does a wonderful job at taking you and putting you in Garrett’s shoes to know what he has been through and how he doesn’t want the cycle to repeat or continue.

The supporting characters also held my attention; I loved the Hockey boys, especially

John Logan and John Tucker. As I read, I thought it was going to be friend against friend for Hannah’s affections; you could clearly see that Logan was very smitten with Hannah, and I’m glad that Elle wrote it in a way that Garrett wasn’t oblivious to his best friend’s crush, but didn’t go right out and chew him out about it. Garrett didn’t display a territorial attitude toward any of his crew; but rather showed genuine love and respect for them.

The hate, turned to mutual friendship, which turned into gradual attraction was effortlessly built up in layers. Elle didn’t rush Hannah or Garrett into a relationship, but more of a slow realization that something was going on between them. First with Garrett, then over time, Hannah coming to terms with how her beginning “obsession” with one guy suddenly faded into the background as she slowly pieces together her feelings for another.

For those who are fans of Elle’s Off-Campus series, I know you can’t wait read The Graham Effect. Those who haven’t read The Deal? Read it ASAP. It’s so good!
