Let’s start by saying, the start to this book was so slow, however, as I kept reading,I found myself loving this book.
There are so many players in Apprentice to the Villain, and Hannah did a good job in making you wonder who was good, who was bad and who you couldn’t truly figure out.
I liked how the Dual POV was set up in a way where the narrator was in charge; when it was Evie’s chapters, the author would use the Villain’s given name when talking about him, while in the Villain’s POV, he uses Evie’s last name when talking about her.
This was a great slow burn of obvious feelings between Trystan and Evie; something that is clearly observed by those closest to them.
The plot-twist really threw me, in a good way.
If you like a magical twist story and a book that has short chapters, this book is a good read.
